ASEPELT “Amable Montero González” International Award 2024 for the best scientific article on

The award is aimed at economists; architects; researchers on real estate markets; designers; engineers; researchers on the environment, sustainability, and quality of life; researchers on energy efficiency and the use of rainwater; and technologists, among others.

Rules

Requirements for participation:

1. All submitted works authored by one (less than 35 years old on the date of the Congress (June 19, 2024)) or more researchers (at least one of them less than 35 years old) are eligible for the Prize. One of the authors less than 35 years old will represent the work.

Submission:

1. Submitted articles must be between 15 and 25 pages in length and must follow the editing standards of the official ASEPELT journal, Studies of Applied Economics (www.revista-eea.net). These guidelines can be consulted in the “submission of originals” tab, where authors are provided with a template (http://www.revista-eea.net/originales.php).

2. Articles must be submitted to secretario@asepelt.org, under subject: ASEPELT “Amable Montero González” International Award 2024 for the best scientific article on The New Model of the Eco-sustainable, Smart, and Competitive Real Estate Sector (name of the young researcher representing the article). Along with the article, a copy of the young researchers’ identity card and contact information must be included.

SELECTION OF FINALISTS

1. Up to three finalists may be selected.

2. The finalists must formally present their article at the XXXVII Annual Congress of Applied Economics-ASEPELT, which will be held at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (Alicante, Spain) on June 19 to 21, 2024. The presentation time is 15 minutes, with a subsequent discussion of the presentation. The date and time of the presentation will be indicated in the conference program.

3. Both the content of the paper and the quality of the presentation will be judged.

4. The finalists will receive from ASEPELT financial support for registration at the congress, travel, accommodation, and meals (up to 750 euros).

5. Although the articles can be written by multiple authors, only one author will represent the others at the congress and the award ceremony. The presenting author will receive financial support for registration at the congress, travel, accommodation and maintenance (up to 750 euros). The other authors of the finalist articles are welcome to participate in the congress, but they will not receive any funding from ASEPELT.

IMPORTANT DATES

1. February 1 to May 20: submission period.

2. May 25: The evaluating committee will communicate the finalist papers to the ASEPELT Executive Board.

3. May 25-31: Finalists will be informed them that they are finalists, so that they may manage their trip to and participation in the congress.

WHAT THE AWARD INCLUDES

In addition to financial support from ASEPELT for registration at the congress, travel, accommodation, and meals (up to 750 euros), the award includes the following benefits:

1. The ASEPELT “Amable Montero González” International Award 2024 for the best scientific article on The New Model of the Eco-sustainable, Smart and Competitive Real Estate Sector is worth 1,000 euros. Other finalists who do not win the award will receive 100 euros.

2. The winner will be considered a member of ASEPELT, free of charge, for one year.

3. The award-winning article will be published in the open section of ASEPELT’s official journal, Studies of Applied Economics.

4. The winner and the other finalists will receive a commemorative plaque.

AWARD CEREMONY

The work winning this award will be announced at the gala dinner of the XXXVII International Congress of the International Association of Applied Economics-ASEPELT 2024, to be held at the University Miguel Hernández at Elche (Spain), June 19-21 2024 (www.congresoasepelt.com, click English version).

If the young researcher representing the winner work does not attend the award ceremony, he or she will be deemed to have declined the award.
